The location of this fresco behind a household altar indicates that at least one of the people is a deity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The person on the right could be a woman, based on the light skin of the feet, but this is not a guarantee. They are wearing a fringed robe of some kind. The shape of the garment is unclear, but it’s reminiscent of the robe worn by the idol on the Hagia Triada sarcophagus<\/a>, or possibly of the tied wrap worn by the woman painted beside the altar<\/a> and the Young Priestess<\/a> from Akrotiri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
